Biography

 

Frédéric Nadeau was born in Montréal, Québec, Canada in the spring of 1974. As a mechanical engineering technician, he reoriented himself in mid-career towards artistic photography. He acquired his artistic experience through several professional, personal and academic events that will trace and define his signature today. An emerging contemporary artist, he explores and combines realism with photographic abstraction without imposing limits.

In 1997, the artist obtained her diploma in mechanical engineering technology at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. In 1998, he began his career at Bombardier Aerospace. After five years at Bombardier, he opened his company “Service Aéronautique International” (SAI) which bring him to work in France for a year. From 2004 to 2011, he worked for Pratt & Withney Canada.

It was in these last years that Nadeau began to raise an awareness that would change the course of his professional life. He decides to go back to school, but in a completely different field, a field that perfectly meets his vital need for exploration and accomplishment, the visual arts with the camera as a medium.

In 2014, Nadeau completed his photography training at Collège Marsan and began his new life as a visual artist. From then on, he made his works travel across North America and Europe and exhibited his works in various galleries in Montréal and the Eastern Townships.
